Still relatively untouched my modern tourism, Myanmar is a captivating country that rewards and surprises even the most experienced of travelers. On this tour, you will travel by boat, bike, plane and train, taking in the country’s most famous sites alongside the remote hilltop villages, giving you a rounded and fascinating insight into the Myanmar. You’ll start in Yangon and the spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda for sunset, before flying to Heho and exploring the back roads and mountain region of Kalaw. After a visit to the Green Hill Valley Elephant Sanctuary, continue onwards to the world-famous Inle Lake and board a tail boat. After a full day exploring Inle Lake, you’ll fly to Bagan, Myanmar’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage Site and here you’ll explore the capital of several ancient Burmese Kingdoms by bike. Finally, you’ll return to Yangon and board the Yangon circle lane, before heading to the airport for your onward flight.

  1. Day 1
    Yangon Arrival

    Welcome to Yangon! Kick off your Myanmar experience with a walking tour of the city’s highlights, including the famous Shwedagon Pagoda.

  2. Day 2
    Exploring Yangon

    Your first full day will see you on the saddle as you explore the Ayerwaddy Delta, through the Dala Township and along quiet rural roads, stopping at pagodas and pottery villages along the way. Later, along the Twantay Canal and board a scenic boat ride back to Yangon.

  3. Day 3
    Yangon - Kalaw

    Take an early flight to Heho, then bike along back roads to the old British Hill Station of Kalaw, passing villages along the way and enjoying the cooler climate.

  4. Day 4
    Kalaw

    Visit the Green Hill Valley Elephant Sanctuary, and trek with these beautiful animals and learn how to take care of them. You’ll also walk through the jungle surrounding the sanctuary and have the chance to visit the beautiful Pinmagon monastery.

  5. Day 5
    Kalaw - Inle Lake

    You’ll transfer out to Inle Lake and enjoy a breathtaking cycle in the mountains overlooking the lake. After descending to the shores, we board a long tail boat, where we will be based for the next two nights.

  6. Day 6
    Inle Lake

    Your full day in Inle Lake will be an active, multi-adventure day as you cycle, boat and kayak around the countryside and take in this stunning setting.

  7. Day 7
    Inle Lake - Bagan

    After an early flight to Bagan, start your sightseeing adventure by way of horse and cart in the morning and e-bike in the afternoon, exploring this ancient city and its 2,200 remaining temples. You’ll spend the evening cruising down the Irrawaddy River and soaking up the views with a cocktail in hand.

  8. Day 8
    Bagan

    Get back on your bike and venture onto sandy trails deep into the Bagan countryside. Have lunch at Mount Popa and then enjoy an exhilarating downhill ride to the foot of the mountain.

  9. Day 9
    Bagan - Yangon

    Fly back to Yangon and go straight to the railway station to board the Yangon circle line, a fascinating train journey that takes in the outlying districts of the city. Along the way you’ll visit the Bogyoke Mountain and Indian Quarter for a different view of the city, as well as the National Museum. Enjoy a farewell dinner.

  10. Day 10
    Yangon Departure

    Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
