The trip begins in Jayapura where a private minivan awaits you at the airport to take you to your accommodation. Enjoy free afternoon to relax and acclimatize in preparation for the next adventure filled days.
Your adventure starts with the 1st flight to Wamena, then a 40 minutes’ drive to Sogokmo where the trek begins together with your guide, porters, and cook. The trek is around 4 hours through Kurima District passing some sweet potatoes gardens. In the late afternoon, it’s your time to explore Kilise village while your cook prepare dinner.
Trekking duration: 4 hours
After breakfast, take a downhill trek to a tradition hanging bridge across Baliem River. The walks is a little harder today with narrow and slippery paths, but you will have chance to stop by the small waterfall to refresh, and enjoy the nature’s beauty before heading to another trickier path that lead to the Syokosimo village.
Trekking duration: 4 – 5 hours
Grade: Moderate to Challenging
You will continue a short trek up to Hitugi village. Be ready for trekking your way up hill all the way to the village, in return you will not only get the most incredible scenery along the way but also the chance to interact with local people working on the field.

After breakfast, starts a 7 – 8 hours long walk to Sogokmo on a wider trail. Lunch is served en route. Transfer back to Wamena, free time at leisure.

Grade: Moderate to challenging
After breakfast, take a short drive to Obia – one of Dani villages which is still preserved their old way of life that you can find the men wear kotekas (penis gourd) while women wear grass skirt, and they live in a honai (round shaped house).
Flight back to Jayapura. Upon arrival, you may have a full day sightseeing to visit Mc Arthur World War II Monument, Sentani Lake, Anthropology, and Hamadi market that offers you the last chance to grab some ethnic souvenirs for your beloved at home.
Free time at leisure until transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
