Upon arrival, meet and greet at the airport with traditional Khada welcome. Transfer to hotel.
After breakfast, visit Patan city, also known as Lalitpur or the “city of beauty“. Patan is well known for its intricately carved temples, narrow lanes and quaint shops. See the intricately stone-carved Krishna temple, Patan Durbar Square and Hiranyavarna Mahavihar (golden temple).
Further, visit of old Kathmandu city with its stone paved lanes, colorful bazaars, the Temple of the Living Goddess – Kumari who is considered to be the incarnation of the “Virgin Goddess“. The old Durbar Square consists of the old palace and innumerable temples of different architecture.
After the visit, walk up to Swoyambhunath stupa, situated west of Kathmandu. It is a 2500 years old Buddhist stupa located atop of green hillock with the eyes of Buddha painted on its pinnacle overlooking righteous behavior of the valley inhabitants.
After breakfast, drive to Changunarayan. It is the lavishly decorated two-tiered temple which is considered to be the oldest temple of the valley.
After the visit, drive to Nagarkote. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise view of the Himalayas when the weather is clear. Nagarkote has become famous spots to view several snow-topped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Upon reaching, transfer to hotel.
Morning, see the magnificent mountains and the sun rising from your resort (weather permitting). After breakfast, cycle down to Bhaktapur city. Visit Bhaktapur and explore this interesting town also known as the “city of devotees”, the home of medieval art and architecture and a classic showcase of medieval Nepalese town life. Visit the main square which contains innumerable temples and other architectural show pieces.
Morning, drive to Fishling, the raft put-in-point and commence rafting tour on Trishuli river. Lunch on river beach. Continue rafting after the lunch till Mugling.
Further, drive to Bandipur, which is an old trading town of quaint streets and charming atmosphere. Occupying a ridge 1030m, Bandipur offers contrasting scenery of the snow clad Himalayan peaks as also of the Marshyangdi river valley below. Life in this town revolves around the bazaar, motley of compact town dwellings with open fronted shops lining either side of a stone-paved street.
After breakfast, drive further to a scenic mountain highway to Pokhara, famous for its snow clad mountains, lush green vegetation and its spring fed lakes. Before reaching Pokhara, drive to Begnas and transfer to Begnas Lake Resort by boat.
After breakfast, hike up to Simal Danda, a typical Gurung village with its neat rows of ochre colored mud huts. Visit Pachbhaiyya a large spread out village visiting the organic coffee plantation and the village school.
Morning, pick up from resort and transfer to take off site for Paragliding flights. This flight lasts for 20-30 minutes. This flight take off site is Sarangkot and landing site is Pame, Pokhara.
Afternoon, continue with sightseeing tour of Pokhara city and its colorful bazaars. Visit includes Bindabasini temple and Devis fall. Take a walk along the Phewa lakeside with its rows of restaurants, bars, bookshops and fruit stalls. After the visit, transfer back to your resort.
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and drive to Phedi, the Annapurna foothills. Our trek starts right out with a steady up-hill climb and a series of stone steps passing through villages and ultimately arriving at Dhampus ridge which will be the first sights of the snow-clad mountains rising above the horizon.
After breakfast, walk along a soft uphill trail through protected forestland which is almost like a gentle staircase. You shall cross over a small windy pass (Deurali) soon after which you can stop for lunch. Several peaks of the Annapurna range can be seen from here including the photogenic Mt. Macchapuchare (6,993m). From here, descend slowly to the village of Landrung through forests and small local farms. Landrung is a wellknown village of the Annapurna area with a rich Gurung culture.
After breakfast, slowly walk down the stone steps to cross the Modikhola River on a hanging bridge at the base of the steps. Upon crossing the bridge, walk along farming terraces of paddy, maize and millet before slowly ascending along well laid out stone steps to reach this scenic and well-planned Gurung village – perhaps the largest and most beautiful in the entire Annapurna area. The headquarters of the Annapurna Conservations Area Project is located here.
It’s a gentle hike this day as we follow a mountain stream along a wide village trail. Quite likely that we will encounter colourful mule-trains as they ferry goods to and from the Kaligandaki valley. Reach Nayapool & and meet our waiting vehicle at Nayapool. Drive to Begnas and transfer to resort.
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan. Upon arrival, we will be met and welcomed by the naturalist from the jungle lodge. Check in at the resort.
Late afternoon, elephant back safari through the jungle to see the Nepali wildlife.
Evening: Slide presentation on flora and fauna of Nepal or Tharu stick dance.
Full day of jungle activities including nature walk to see birds and smaller animals, boat ride to see crocodiles and water-birds, Tharu tribe village visit, Elephant briefing/bathing etc.
After breakfast, check out of the resort and drive back to Kathmandu. Upon reaching, transfer to hotel.
Evening, drive down to a good local Nepali restaurant for a farewell dinner with cultural show.
Transfer to airport for departure flight.
