Day 1

Arrival in Paro

Upon arrival at Paro airport, you will be greeted by our representative with a traditional Bhutanese Khadhar (white scarf) as a welcome gesture. After the airport formalities, transfer to your hotel or a local restaurant for a Bhutanese lunch cuisine. The first day includes visits to the Ta-Dzong museum and Paro Rinpung Dzong/Fortress.

Day 2

Trek Starts: Paro – Jili Dzong

The trek begins from Ta Dzong in Paro and follows a gravel road before climbing a steep ridge and passing through blue pine and fir forests to reach Damche Gom. From there, you descend to the campsite below Jili Dzong.

Day 3

Jili Dzong – Jangchulakha Trekking

The trail starts with a steep climb for about an hour and a half and then continues through alpine forests and dwarf rhododendron trees. You may encounter herders and yaks near the campsite.

Day 4

Jangchulakha – Jimgelang Tsho Trekking

The trail follows a ridge, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and valleys on a clear day. The campsite is located near Jimgelang Tsho Lake, known for its giant-sized trout.

Day 5

Jimgelang Tsho – Simkotra Tsho Trekking

The trail passes through dwarf rhododendron trees and Janetso Lake. You may encounter yak herder camps and get a glimpse of nomadic life. The campsite is near Simkotra Tsho Lake.

Day 6

Trek Ends: Simkotra Tsho – Phajoding – Thimphu

The day begins with a gradual climb, offering a view of Mount Gangkar Puensum and other Himalayan peaks. The trek takes you downhill to Phajoding, where you have lunch. From there, you trek downhill through a forested area and reach Thimphu. Transfer to your hotel.

Dochula Pass in Bhutan
Day 7

Thimphu – Punakha

After breakfast, visit Buddha Point, Memorial Chorten, and explore Thimphu town or the Local Craft Bazaar. Then drive to Punakha, stopping at the Dochula Pass for breathtaking views. Check into the hotel in Punakha and enjoy the evening at your leisure.

Day 8

Punakha – Paro

Visit Punakha Dzong and take a short walk across the suspension bridge nearby. After lunch, drive back to Paro via the Dochula Pass again, approx. 130km (4-5hrs). In Paro, visit a local farmhouse for an authentic Bhutanese experience and have dinner with the host family.
Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan
Day 9

Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Embark on an excursion to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, also known as Tiger's Nest. The hike uphill takes around 3 hours, with a 1.5-hour hike down. After the hike, you have free time to relax or explore Paro town.
