Day 1
Arrival in Pangkalan Bun
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities.
Day 2
Pangkalan Bun – Kumai – Proboscis Tour
Transfer to Kumai (approx. 25 minutes). Once there, board a boat and cross the Kumai River to reach the Sekonyer River. Cruise up the Sekonyer River until you reach Tanjung Putting National Park. Continue the tour to observe Proboscis monkeys along the riverbanks. Proboscis monkeys are endemic to Borneo. Lunch and dinner will be served on board.
Day 3
Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey
After breakfast, board a boat and travel to Pondok Tanggui. Observe the orangutans and take photographs at the feeding station at 09:00 AM. Proceed to Camp Leakey by boat, passing the wildlife-rich black river. At Camp Leakey, visit the Information Center (IC) to learn about Dr. Birute Galdikas' long-standing research on orangutans since 1971. Enjoy a 45-minute forest trek to witness orangutan feeding, then return to the boat. Lunch and dinner will be served on board.
Day 4
Kumai – Lopus Dayak Village
After an early breakfast on board, take a boat to Kumai (approx. 2 hours), then transfer to Lopus Village by private car. The overland journey will last around 5 hours. Upon arrival in Lopus Village, explore the village and have free time in the afternoon. In the evening, join the Dayak Tomun for their Bagondang ceremony after dinner. Experience the traditional dance and enjoy rice wine served by the Dayak people.
Day 5
Lopus Dayak Village – Kudangan – Pangkalan Bun
After breakfast, continue your trip by car to Kudangan Village. Explore the village and visit more longhouses. Afterwards, drive back to Pangkalan Bun for approximately 5 hours. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun, transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Day 6
Pangkalan Bun Departure
Today free at leisure till drive to Balikpapan airport for your flight back home.Includes
